Follow-up after a hospital stay, a procedure or a new result
A follow-up is a time-limited remote check-in after a hospital stay, a procedure, or when a new test result arrives. It helps you go over the discharge plan or result, your medicines, the warning signs to watch for and your next appointment. It is not a long-term condition programme and does not replace the team that treated you.
In your first message, send the service name only. Please do not send medical details or files until the coordinator explains how records are shared.
If you are worried now
If symptoms are getting worse, or you are worried now, call the ambulance on 123 or go to the nearest emergency department. Do not wait for a follow-up.
When people use it
- After leaving hospital.
- After a procedure.
- When a new result arrives.
- When medicines have changed.
What a follow-up covers
The doctor goes through your discharge plan or result with you, your medicines, the warning signs that need urgent help, and what should happen next, including your next appointment with the team treating you. The doctor may also advise an in-person examination or tests.
Combining with home care
A follow-up can be combined with home nursing or tests arranged through HomeCure, our sister service, in Greater Cairo. A remote consultation can lead to a home test, and a home test can be reviewed remotely. See home services.
Before you agree
The coordinator confirms who will see you, how, the timing and the full price with you before you agree. A message or click never confirms an appointment. To understand the limits, read the scope page.

Common questions
Is this an ongoing care programme?
No. It is a time-limited check-in. It is not a long-term condition programme, and it does not replace the team that treated you.
When is a follow-up useful?
For example after you leave hospital, after a procedure, when a new result arrives, or after your medicines change.
Can a follow-up include a home visit or tests?
Yes, where the doctor advises it. HomeCure can arrange home nursing or tests in Greater Cairo, once the coordinator confirms your district.
What should I have ready?
Your discharge summary or result, your list of medicines, and any questions. Please do not send files until the coordinator explains how records are shared.
